Well I brought “Improve Your Communication Skills” from play.com.
The book aims at improving your skills in the work place whether you need to impress a large audience or just the odd employee.
Here are a couple of bullet points of which this book helps you with
Improve your conversations;
Build rapport with colleagues;
Hold Interviews and staff appraisals;
Learn the skills of persuasion;
Write e-mails, letters and reports; and
Write for the web.
I’ve been reading this book when ever i get a break its very good it talks you through what ways you need to take for impressing people or just keeping conversations going, as I’m not a large talker to colleagues I found this book to be brilliant at giving me guide lines for conversations.
If you are going to be making a presentation soon or a meeting where you need to impress this book it what you need, I recommend anyone who is trying to improve their communication skills to buy this its worth the money!
A while ago i wrote about A messy blog is a unpopular blog, but at what stage does it get cluttered?
I’ve been adding loads of features to my blog as you can see but i see it starting to get cluttered i feel as if either my ads or my features need to be minimized a lot, but these features are brilliant it allows you the readers to add things to other websites or give you extra information which can be very handy, but on the other side the advertising is something i need so i can keep the website running.
I wont be supprised if every weblogger gets to this stage thinking how do i clean it up?
This is the very hard part of web designing judging at what point people don’t want to look at your site because its a mess, so the main key is putting the handy things small enough so that they can see it but so its not making a mess of the site.
Here is my review on Kubuntu.
Lets start with a little bit about Kubuntu, it uses a KDE Desktop Environment which compared to Ubuntu that uses Gnome (very different).
That is the main difference between Kubuntu and Ubuntu you will also find that the programs in Kubuntu are also different but you do have a package manager allowing automatic install for the programs.
The installation: Brill if you compare this to something like Microsoft Windows installation there is a massive difference, with (K)ubuntu it is a Live CD live meaning that you can run it straight from your CD-ROM instead of running it from your hard drive so its kind of like a way of letting people test it before they install it, but with this you can surf the net while your installing (K)ubuntu to your hard drive.
Now comparing this to Windows XP it looks very ugly when installing it, and you can’t do anything at the same time, so you have to sit their for 2 hours or so waiting for it to install.
So the installation i would give 4/5.
I would like to hear any feed back on my new layout, it was rushed a little too fast so i will be tweaking it over the next few months.
I went for a very simple layout allowing the reader (you) to be able to read it easier, I added a combination of new features which as you explore the site you will find out about.
Please any feedback about my site at all will be brilliant it will give me something to work off.
Sorry we’ve had to put up the default theme their was a problem with the last theme so we are going to take this chance to make a complete new theme which could take a couple of weeks due to lack of time.
So sorry if we don’t post as much.
