I think I’ll start off by asking if you have a myspace account (typical answer yes) this I find bad if you do not want to leave a footprint on the internet this is the place you do not want to leave one.
Let’s see who looks at your myspace pages, could your employers look in fact they do not they have found these places to be very truthful they will not look at your social sites like myspace, bebo and facebook. But a lot of the time you can actually use this to your advantage if you have completely crap qualifications you make these pages look like you know a thing or two you have a much better chance of getting in that your opponent that has posted pictures on their myspace from their drunken nights out, if you was employing someone which would you choose?
But the real question is what other ways could these be exploited and the actual fact is identity theft yeah these things are possible, so the issue is that if you are a member of many social sites leaving parts of your life on each like on one you have DOB the others locations maybe even a phone number. Even having these on different sites these can be linked together at the click of a button, but you might be wondering is how they would find these sites easily if you have an name then its easy. Now there are many ways to get around this like creating a fake name not completely legal but its better than using your real name if you are not the adventurous time then you can use a generator.
How is this done, well it can be done using a number of tools or even Google if you know how Google works you can find pretty much anything out on their site from security cameras to phone numbers it really is a powerful search engine if you know the tricks.
So how can you avoid leaving footprints on each and every site, well if you want to hide yourself as much as possible you will want to use a proxy but that’s only if you have something to hide.
All you need to do is avoid using websites where you need to register, if you cant find out how something works don’t shoot to the first forum related to it, use Google. If you need to ask someone register but as I said above use a different name and email address for this you can use a temporary email address.
So if its good or bad you need to decide.
Hope this helps, stay safe.

The trick is to avoid a breadcrumb and make sure that no one knows to much about you and that all the information about you is not consolidated in one area.
Registration is not really a problem as much as posting personal information.
Ensuring that the information cant be put together and that you dont give out anything that could link back to your real world life is where you have to be wary.
Good article though, keep it up man.
