New Theme: Classical

classicalss.jpgDescription: The idea of this theme was for a elegant classical style, I’ve been trying to keep things to a minimal such as widgets you will notice if you have the correct plugins (named below) that they are placed at the bottom of the page (footer) to keep them out of the way but allowing the spiders to crawl as many pages as possible.
The choice of using png images for the layout was to make it easier for your use, using png allows the fade effect to be slightly see through so that when placing a background it will not mess up the effect, so it allows you to place what ever background you want.
It was designed for screen resolutions over 800 by 600 as the width of the theme is 900, allowing you to display more content allowing your visitors to get the best experience from visiting your website.

Problems: PNG format, is not compatible with IE6 (internet explorer 6) but it will work with IE7 and above.
Three posts above displayed for some reason messes the footer up, I have not yet found out why this is happening please if you know leave feedback.
It does not look bad but it does look out of place slightly.

Program Of The Week: Launchy

If you like linux you may have come across an application called Katapult which you can use by hitting alt + space which will then bring up a screen where you can type a name of a application such as kcalc which will then be launched, I’ve been looking for a similar thing for windows as if you look at my start menu you will see that I’ve attempted to order everything but its just too many folders to look through, so I started my hunt and found Launchy.

Launchy Searching For Tool - The Pot MP3

Launchy is very easy to customize you can have it search any directory for any file for example all my mp3’s are on Z drive at a whopping size of 40gb’s which makes it hard to look for a song so i just added that to the index and had it just search for a file type of .mp3, it also finds your applications by looking at your start menu location such as C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs in that it will look for the .lnk files and place them in the index.
