Getting Visitors to Your Website.

This isn’t as hard as it actually sounds especially if your dedicated to running a website, so with my website (typertappers.com) what I’ve been doing is submitting my URL to many web directories and places like Digg.com which when Googlebot find a link on their site your page rank goes up, allowing you to get more visitors from Google. There is millions of webmasters out their trying to understand fully how Google works which is pretty much impossible they are very secretive about their algorithm, so it takes a lot of trials and errors.

So the best way’s to get a higher pr is to make a sitemap (http://www.google.com/webmasters) upload it to Google.

Submit yourself to high ranking Web Directories (http://www.strongestlinks.com/directories.php).

If you’re a member of and forums put your URL in your signatures, or commenting on Blogs remember to put your URL in.

But the most important things are content lots and lots of Good content and regularly updated!

RSS For Tech Geeks Only?

Well after looking at a couple of peoples computers that don’t really know much about how they work etc I ask about RSS and they don’t have a clue what I’m going on about.

So it only seems to be a geek thing at the moment but looking at Morzilla Firefox 2.0 I see that they have a new RSS feature, but too be honest it’s not really pulling enough people to use it or allowing others to understand it really.

So I started trying to think what we could do about it, but really their isn’t much to do except adding a “add to Google” button to your website which in some cases doesn’t look very nice but unfortunately at the moment.

So RSS is only for tech geeks unless we explain it to everyone else.

YouTube have sold up to Google.

You may have seen one of my posts before saying how Google are planning on buying YouTube, and finally they have sold up for 1.6 billion dollars which is around £883 million.

This can only mean good things for Google, upon reading a BBC news article it says “Google has also signed distribution deals of its own, with Sony BMG and Warner Music to offer music videos.”

So I would say we can see big things coming for YouTube and I can’t wait to see what goes on with it.

YouTube Selling to Google?

Well I have recently been reading a couple of articles on YouTube selling their website, YouTube was launched in 2005 and has had a massive increase in popularity with over a million video viewings a day!

So not surprising the price is between 1 to 2 billion dollars, so this could be perfect for Google they like snapping up some sites that they can see a good investment in example Blogger, so will we see Google buying YouTube?

We do not know unless YouTube can find someone to pay a higher price Google could be getting it.

In my opinion I think Google have the power to make it a much better site much more successful so I cannot wait to see Google buy it.
