Freedom
So the other weekend I came across this smilie generator website, so I generated a smilie and pop up it comes “Hello World!” and in the bottom right corner BY A-WEBSITE.COM not actually that website its just a example, which kind of bugged me considering they also flooded the pages with adverts.
Seeing what I’ve seen from these adverts I set out to make my own website with freedom from the adverts, I looked at the options pay for a script which I believe was around $10-$20 for a rather simple script or I could have some fun and shuv my own script on a subdomain.
Guess what I choose, well if you guessed I payed for it, who are you kidding like I would spend money!
I built my own!

We can roll alright!
It took a matter of two days before I began the bug testing, now a few more days later and a few more coffee’s later its ready to rock and roll, I still have more I would like to add to them but for now I’m on a small break before I shart working on it again.
If you know me you will know I’ve tried out several methods of advertising on my sites, for example Google adsence, affiliate future, amazons affiliate, adbrite, 1and1 referral and now trying to sell advertising space.
But what has made me any money 1 has made me $2 and that was 1and1’s referral advertising but this was on one of my less busy websites, yet the popular sites haven’t pulled in ANYTHING this was a big problem when using advertising which you cannot get any money out untill you earn $100.
So my new adventure is selling my own personal advertising space, as you might have noticed I actually have some new adverts around the page for sale their cheap as you can find out on the advertising space page it is currently run using openads so if someone wants a advert on this site they can pay me say a months cost once I see the money (in paypal) I will put the advert up.
Unfortunately it isn’t all automated i need to set up the adverts myself which personally I dislike as it doesn’t insure absote accuracy on the ads compared to the client putting it in.
Well I just installed autometa after a Kian Ann was talking about adding meta tag’s
did not use Meta tags as i thought in this day and age they where pretty much obsolete, no one for sure knows if Google still uses them, and all the meta search spiders drink up all the bandwidth and their isn’t much you gain from it. So i though i should give it a go for a couple of months.
But i just came across autometa automatically sets up your keywords by scanning your text when you publish it, so now i will keep using meta tags as I don’t have to waste time typing them in!
Well if you’ve been reading my blog you will notice that I don’t use pictures in my articles but I though I should go around different blogs looking at the advantages and disadvantages of pictures.

Advantages:
1. It entices people into your writing by this I’m talking about when you read a blog if you notice their isn’t any pictures your eyes want to wander away.
2. A picture is worth a thousand words, you will be surprised how true this is lets take a film for example like Harry Potter then compare it to the book a film is about 1 hour and 30 I guess and if you read the book it can take around 3 hours to read it so we can see here a picture is worth a thousand words.
3. Brightens up your design, well I’m comparing two sites which one doesn’t use pictures in the post and one does, looking at one where their isn’t any pictures its pretty much dull all over it doesn’t draw your eyes to anything, now comparing this to the one with pictures it looks more colourful.
A while ago i wrote about A messy blog is a unpopular blog, but at what stage does it get cluttered?
I’ve been adding loads of features to my blog as you can see but i see it starting to get cluttered i feel as if either my ads or my features need to be minimized a lot, but these features are brilliant it allows you the readers to add things to other websites or give you extra information which can be very handy, but on the other side the advertising is something i need so i can keep the website running.
I wont be supprised if every weblogger gets to this stage thinking how do i clean it up?
This is the very hard part of web designing judging at what point people don’t want to look at your site because its a mess, so the main key is putting the handy things small enough so that they can see it but so its not making a mess of the site.
