A new way to draw people to your site?

Well today I was checking out my forums, and too my surprise some new members commented on a old thread, the thread was myself and some other members discussing their work on a couple of their sites which in my opinion looked nice but ultimately wasn’t SEO friendly.

So this thread popped up and the owners where their saying how I was wrong. This isn’t something you would expect (well at least I never would), I was very shocked to see them talking about it.

So could this be a good idea for bringing people to your site, it could seem to be a very good idea out of this one thread I got two new members to join and they where actually really happy about it, which I found the funniest part when they commented back they sounded a little ticked off so too see them chatting away with me, they where happy about my comments!

Please comment back on this if you have had any experiences like this I find this really funny!
